November 6 meeting:
Our topic for the November meeting is the free website USGENWEB.
We will be discussing types of information on this site, how to use the info and
ways anyone can volunteer to help with the website.
Don't forget to change your clocks. Daylight Savings time ends.
It is Georgia Archives Month and Family History Month. A lot is going on. Here is a link to AJC which has a list of genealogical/archival events.

October 14 at the Georgia Archives lunch and learn: "Your home's family tree" a free event from 12-1
October 14 at the Gainsville Branch of the Hall County Library: "Sitting up with the dead" 5-midnight. Cost is $12.00 and includes a boxed dinner and a late night snack.
Tuesday October 18 at 7pm, a panel of genealogists and researchers will present, "We're Relatives - Genealogy and Writing" a program designed to show how one can use genealogical research skills to write not ony family history and memoirs, but also historical fiction and non-fiction at the Peachtree City Library.
