We meet at Clayton State University Library

We meet every other month starting in February, at Clayton State University in the University Center room 265.
We start at 3pm and end around 5pm. Everyone age 16 or older is welcome, from beginners to experts.

Park in the "G" area and walk to the University Center "12" on the map. Go to the entrance on the East Side. Once inside, look for our classroom across from the entrance to the Library.

PLEASE COME AND BRING A FRIEND!

January 6th meeting

Happy New Year everyone! Usually we have an annual Genealogy workshop in January that lasts all day long! We decided to move the workshop to when Clayton State University has their Spring Break. That way, we will have exclusive access to more rooms and the library. We will be looking for volunteers to help us get people signed in and put in the right place, and we will need volunteers to lead classes. Please let one of us know if you are available to do either. If you don't want to lead a class, but there is a subject you think we should cover during the workshop, please let us know that as well. You can send an email at ourgenealogygroup@gmail.com
More to come on the workshop in a few months.

When Rosemary was organizing the Holiday Party, it became apparent that many of you do not know how to scan a picture and/or attach it to an email and send it. We have also had people mention, that they did not know how to use or if they should use an external hard drive. We also had several questions about Genealogy Software. These questions, and any other questions you may have about hardware and programs will be discussed on January 6th at the usual time and place.
Please note that you are welcome to come and just use the free Ancestry and Fold 3 programs from the school library even if you are not interested in this month's discussion. In fact, you can come to the library at any time during working hours to use the programs. You don't have to wait on a meeting.
