We meet at Clayton State University Library

We meet every other month starting in February, at Clayton State University in the University Center room 265.
We start at 3pm and end around 5pm. Everyone age 16 or older is welcome, from beginners to experts.

Park in the "G" area and walk to the University Center "12" on the map. Go to the entrance on the East Side. Once inside, look for our classroom across from the entrance to the Library.

Geneaology Do-Over!!!

Happy New Year America!

OGG will meet 11 Jan 2015 at Clayton State University, Morrow, GA at 3 p.m.

Thomas MacEntee recently wrote "Genealogy Do-Over: Slow Down, You Move Too Fast!" Thomas says that he, like many of us, was "getting ahead of myself and working too quickly!" We plan to use this as a topic for our group meeting. It is the new year, so it is a great time to slow down, find out what we have and make plans. Before the meeting, please read Thomas MacEntee's Genealogy Do Over plan and his You Move Too Fast article.

Grab Your Genealogy by the Horns:: Five Ways to Take Control of Your Research 2015 by Lisa Alzo is another great motivational article. Among other ideas, Lisa suggests that we "let go of old habits" and "Don't go it alone." Her article is in the Legacy Family Tree News.

Make a list:
• What do you want to accomplish in 2015 and how do you plan to go about it?
• What have you already done?
• What new ideas, software, or websites do you plan to explore?
• What tools or assistance do you want to help you meet your objective?
We ALL have something to contribute. This is YOUR group. Please come! Please bring something to share.

Print this and these topics to follow along during our discussion.
We can't wait to see you in class!

And, don't forget that Legacy has posted their upcoming webinars .
